Fitness test to restore LAPL Medical
Had a heart attack recently with stents now fitted & lots of tablets & recovering fine I think. My AME has recorded me as 'unfit' & said will probably have to be tested to demonstrate the required fitness level (to DVLA Commercial Vehicle driver standard).
The, subject to a report by my cardiologist I will have to see my AME again.
My query is - does anyone know where I can get the fitness test done (in the West Midlands) and at what cost?
Thanks

I presume your AME wants an exercise ECG but you need to ask him to be more specific - there is no such thing as a fitness test.
Your cardiologist is the best person to organise these tests as he can also report on them and advise. Plus he may 'agree' they are relevant to your medical management and thus undertaken on the NHS
