Any low cost carrier in EU or any airline in Asia is paying more than THY.
All expats and eve n local Turkish guys are resigning and leaving towards UAE, Qatar and KAL.
If you want to see your salary reducing every day go to THY.

I just finished my interview and selection. It was quite the experience.
But nothing you cant handle.. Except the sim is a little stressful. But all they are looking for is how you fly according to your experience level and how you handle criticism stress under pressure. Plus the want to see if you can get along with different customs as some can be viewed as aggressive and rude.
There is more to the whole process than meets the eye... there is also the political issues within the company and its young pilots...
I also did the psychometrics test. That was crazy.. and fun at the same time..
They may have you write a 30 question ATPL type exam taken from the ACE book.. Even the narrow body captains write it sometimes...
The whole selection process is very tedious and you must have a lot of patience as they are following their procedures.. not what makes sense to you and me.. but its their way, just accept it.
You end up waiting around 3 - 6 hours everyday and have your schedule changed three times a day sometimes more.. So what.. just do it and smile...
I didn't really have a problem as its their company and their way.. A lot of captains got upset just from the waiting... I can understand that too..
Their problem with me is that I have too much time as an FO but not enough time as a captain because I fly for a major carrier and never could hold a left seat... I am waiting to see my fate..
More to follow...

Anyone is waiting for the email with the 3 screening days? I have received an email about THY saying that they are going to invite me in October.
I have read on this forum that they pay the flight and hotel to expat, is that true?
Best regards!

I also received that email, and also for October. I was supposed to go on 16.July but they had some problems with previous assessments, and now I'm still waiting for the new date. They do pay for your flight and hotel.

Same here waiting for October confirmation date, and little update about TR , its candidate choice where they are going to do TR at their own expense it just have to be any EASA TRTO.
If you pass assessment they issue letter of intent to hire you,no bond will be accepted you have to do TR.
Just one question for anybody who has been, do you have to have your IR-ME valid at the time of interview or you can renew it at latter date?
@nebojsar
All info are from mail i got couple days ago

@potatoflying , when did send your application? I sent mine towards the end and I haven't received an email of the scheduling.
@pilotsaad I couldn't reply to your message, your inbox is full. I believe we received the same email. However, they said that they will schedule us October and onwards, so since they have 1,000 applicants, it may be longer than October. I don't have any other information with regards to the sim..
