Link not working for me.

Thanks, teletext link worked:

"Three crew members suffer serious injuries as Royal Navy helicopter crashes in Antarctica."

Hope they recover well.

Fixed link to Teletext site :

http://www.teletext.com/news/story.a...rom=I&indent=2

Ian:

If you want to edit your lik to remove the extraneous "http://" at the beginning, and i'll bin this post when it's fixed.

Edited to say that the original link still works, but it points to a different story now ! C'est la vie . . .

Got told about this incident last night.
All main injurys are broken legs. Some civilians on board. All crew eventually transferred to HMS Endurance on second Lynx. Engine quit at low level, apparently.
Injured parties to be flown out by Twotter this morning.
Lucky they landed on an ice plataeu.

I hope that they all recover quickly from their injuries. it certainly sent a shudder round those here near Yeovilton.

Having spent a couple of years in the Far South with a single engine helo I know it is a most inhospitable place. We used to wish we had a Lynx with two Gems!
