Got told about this incident last night.
All main injurys are broken legs. Some civilians on board. All crew eventually transferred to HMS Endurance on second Lynx. Engine quit at low level, apparently. Injured parties to be flown out by Twotter this morning. Lucky they landed on an ice plataeu. |

Best wishes to the lads and hoping for a speedy recovery to all the injured. See you in the bar.
p.s I hope they find the cause quickly. |
I hope that they all recover quickly from their injuries. it certainly sent a shudder round those here near Yeovilton.
Having spent a couple of years in the Far South with a single engine helo I know it is a most inhospitable place. We used to wish we had a Lynx with two Gems! Anne  |
