Interview dress code?
G'day,
Could someone please advise me as to whether one (a girl!) shoud wear a trouser suit or a skirt suit for an interview with an airline for a pilot position?
This is a serious question so, NO stupid remarks, please!!
Cheers all,
BB

Whatever you feel most comfortable and confident in, would be my thoughts.
N14HK, I think that was the sort of remark BB was trying to avoid

As the pup has said, whatever you feel comfortable wearing, as the most important thing is to be happy with the way you look.
As female pilots wear trousers these days maybe that would be the way to go.
Who is the interview with? Good luck in anycase...

Trouser suit or skirt suit is fine.
Think smart casual or professional wear for the city.
I am sure you won't do as some have done and pitch up to the interview in a short miniskirt and a rather revealing top. Most sensible recruiters will ignore that tactic.

Yeah Meeb, that's why you wear a tie right? To wipe the drool. Funnily enough, the bloke that sort of outfit did work on lives in Queensland. Where have you got that house again?
BTW Meeb, don't you wear a skirt all right? Oh ok, you call it a kilt.

Asked a couple of our female crew and they were unanimous in their opinion, a trouser suit. This is what you would be wearing on the job so it would seem logical to be interviewed in such professional attire. I was trying to think back to the last couple of interview sessions that I had been sitting in on and I don’t recall any of the female applicants wearing anything other than trousers.
Best of luck.
