Hi
I'd like to ask if anyone knows of the best places to get on an FIC(R) course. Most people i'v spoke with are talking about 6-8 weeks before I'd get on a course. I'm not limited to just the UK if it helps.
Many thanks guys.

If you are flexible where you train , then there shouldn't be a big wait to start a course. There are shortages of instructors at all levels, including FI instructors, but some areas worse affected than others.

Look further a field and find somewhere you can start at straight away.

List of UK schools Here (http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/Approved%20Courses%20of%20Flight%20and%20Ground%20Training%2 0Doc%2031.pdf)

I would reccomend Dorothy Pooley at Shoreham and she can start you pretty soon. Get in touch!

Andy, I would say your experience is typical. Many FTOs have experienced heavy demand and are slow to adapt their supply. The consequence is that waiting lists are long. I've probably waited about 10-12 weeks over the past year for courses (CPL/IR, MCC and FI).
