I NEED MY INSTRUCTOR RATING YESTERDAY!

I want to convert my foreign (Australian) Instructor Rating in a hurry. I've got all the bumf from The Belgrano so know what is required but would be interested in your recommendations.

Not interested in a school with flash aircraft/premises as I'll bring my own ('plane, not building). Oh, and available asap would be good.

If you know someone or think you might fit the bill drop me a line please.

I phoned round every flying school that advertises AFI courses in 'Pilot' mag here in the UK last week, the only one that had less than a 3 month waiting list was Sky Leisure in Shoreham. 01273 464422. I was set to go there but I got a better opportunity at the last second ... my vacant place might still be going spare.

Don't be in a rush to spend your dosh. The instructor shortage is another of aviations myths and fables just like the airline pilot shortage.

Every flying school I've contacted for instructing work has no vacancies. I've been informed that I'm number 6 on the waiting list at a number of flying schools.

Point taken aerotowman and I appreciate the warning. I do, however, have a firm offer of a job which is why I'm in a hurry.
