Chris Caine at Halfpenny Green seems to be good. Ravenair are OK it seems to. As for where to avoid - best email me!

DB6, I'm not bothered where the school is. For example, I know there is one in Cyprus that does AFICs. Is it any good - anybody ?

I did my initial AFI course, and my FI Upgrade, at Tayside Aviation in Dundee. They then gave me a job (full time in the summer, part time in the winter) for a couple of years. Their training is not the cheapest (not the most expensive either, by a LONG way) and is generally to a very high standard. I did my CAP509 approval tests, basically teaching as I did as an AFI at Tayside, and passed first time. Call them on 01382 644372, and see what you think.
And no, I don't own any shares in the company.

There were (June 99) 43 schools doing FI training in the UK. I can only personally recommend the one I went to, HGFC at Halfpenny Green, but I know C&S, as WWW says, are good. Tayside also have a good reputation but there are probably a couple of good ones in your area as well, see ?
