Speaking of the MD90, I heard that the Saudi's had a little trouble with the MD90 simulator in the new training center, anybody have any news. The last piece of news that I heard, the simulator had a hard landing.

If we are talking about the same event, it was a tire failure, caused structural damage to the engine and tail area.

Mike, #1 MD90 sim is flying nicely and is approved for use by the PCA. Actually flew it a couple of days ago, unfortunately its not a nice as the B777 sim sitting beside it, nor is it approved for FAA type ratings as the FAA are too scared to enter Saudi Arabia.

Cheers

Thanks Mutt, looks like the MD90 program for Long Beach will be coming to an end, the MD90EFD will be moving from Long Beach to Florida for Embry Riddle.

Mutt

No worries, we still have the MD11, 717, MD82, & the 737-200. We are pretty excited as the 737NG will be down here in 2004.

If not, my wife said that if anything happens, she will have me work the streets to make extra money, this is California, so there is a good chance of making some extra money.
