Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

rf teaching lapl from april 2015

OK it would appear that EASA have said that from April 2015 rf can teach for the lapl. But how exactly is that going to work? What happens if some one has been learning for a ppl or say nppl What happens to all the hours they have done as part of that ttraining? Can it count towards a lap?

Also begs the question why they don't simply allow rf train for the lapl from now onwards. As obviously there is no safety or quality case.

Teach the NPPL, student obtains NPPL, then apply for the LAPL?
