As the first stage of the GAU consultation with helicopter GA, the assistance of HT/CFIs providing PPL (H) instruction is being sought by taking 10 minutes to answer the following questions:
1. What flight exercises, if any, do you feel can safely be removed from the LAPL/PPL (H) syllabus?
2. What flight exercises, if any, do you believe should be included in the LAPL/PPL (H) syllabus to enhance flight safety?
3. Between 2003 and 2009 the Helicopter TrainingCom was used by the CAA to communicate helicopter training issues to training providers. With the implementation of CAA Information Notices (IN) the TrainingCom was discontinued. Would you wish to see the reinstatement of the TrainingCom or do you consider the IN an adequate method of communication?
