The pub in question, despite proclaiming its Candianness, was showing American Football while the CFL playoffs were on, which was a little disappointing.

Mad {Flt} Scientist, if you look a little closer you will notice that nobody is watching it, these sports TV feeds are unfotunatley in many public places these days, on top of this given the choice of British Rugby or Canadian Football I suspect that British Rugby would have a larger audience, either way these bloody TVs detract from the British pub atmosphere. Well done Air Canada!

West Jet copy

Looks to me like they are trying to copy West Jet's good will last year. A nice gift, but not original (cost of tickets most likely less than what the prime time advertising they got out of it).

Canadansk, Air Canada did not "copy" West Jet, any more than West Jet "copied "Air Canadas "Dreams Take Flight", as one whose companies had both a charity and advertising budgets we found that "great minds think alike, and fools rarely differ" when it comes to charity donations and promotions. If a company gains positive publicity, breaks even, as well as doing good, well thats a bonus which management aim for, not a cause for juvinile negative shots from the likes of unhappy young men like you, its Christmas, lighten up for Petes sake! A Merry Christmas to all, in particular those away from home!
