Large Cabin BizJet package - EUROPE

Ladies and Gentlemen,

What are the current packages on offer for The European based, either "gateway" system or based, large cabin BizJet segment (eg. G650/550/450, F7X, BD700);
  • Rotation 30/30, 14/14, 17/13 or based?
  • Salary?
  • Pension?
  • Medical?
  • Airfare class - Biz- or Monkey class?

Monkey class, really?

Are you deliberately being provocative or are you plain stupid?

RHS of Challenger based London. 50k with no pension etc.

No roster but plenty of time at home.

No specific rules on positioning (not that we have very much) but mostly LoCo with occasional Business Class for trans-atlantic

Bral, that will be one company ending up without pilots as things improve then

Very bad of this company to do that regarding OPC/LPC reclaiming - one to avoid.

Again, supply and demand come into it as I posted on another thread. The BAE 146 /RJ is an "airliner" and therefore there are lots of rated pilots, hence the price goes down, same as the BBJ and ACJ. On most dedicated bizjets like the 550 there are less rated pilots so demand is high and so is the price.
How many rated RJ pilots are there in Europe, and how many Corporate RJ's are there? Simple numbers.

Perhaps true for some operators but certainly not true as a general statement.

£95K for Challenger size aircraft seems fair if it's basic pay, with pension, allowances etc coming on top of that. If not, it's a bit on the low side in my opinion.

I love threads such as this!

1. Invite anonymous characters to post details of their salary/package.
2. Read snide remarks/watch willy waving contest develop.
3. Not enough garbage collected so invite more to respond.

How old are you Klimax, eight and a quarter?

Job seekers, especially those with kids and a family to support, are gonna take whatever job is offered, rather than wait for another one to come along. The biz class travel, medical and pension won't even reach the equation, and a salary of 20K less than the average will still be much more than they are earning while not flying at all.

You claim to be flying a big jet and I'm pleased for you. I also do, and believe me I thank my lucky stars every day. If you or I become unhappy with our terms we have a choice. Right now many do not have that option and threads like this are simply rubbing sh1t into the noses of people who would give anything to get paid something to fly for a reasonable living in a reasonable airplane.

A thread like this will change nothing in a market based on competition, and that is the way it should be.

Firstly why do you not tell us what your package is and what you are trying to compare ?

We operate 2 Globals and 2 G650's with a 7x that just sits in the hangar, we refuse to fly the 7x as the others keep us quite busy.

The roster is 14/14 but in reality we only fly 2 - 3 days in the 14 days on and only to really nice destinations. If the boss suggests anywhere that we feel remotely concerned about then we just tell him No.
Each aircraft operate with 6 crew per aircraft plus 3 flight attendents just in case someone needs a vacation, this must be taken in your duty time so it is possible to get a good break by adding on your off time, so 4 weeks vacation is normal and that's 3 times per year.
The salary is not to bad however we are expecting a pay rise next month, Captains Euros 200,000 per year plus bonus scheme if we fly more than the 3 days, PD's Euros 350 per day but he pays everything anyway. 5 star hotels all included. Travel is business class for normal flights anything over 1 hour then first class only as he insists we must be rested.
The aircraft are ok but I wish he would change them more often than every 18 months, for us we have 2 Globals, one is always on standby should the other need cleaning / maintenance or if someone wanted to extend their vacation slightly, however the other 6 guy's really piss me off at times moaning about having 2 G650 to operate on the same principle but they do not get double overtime for the extended range flights greater than 4 hours.n

Good question. So what is your package Klimax?

And another thing: you seem to be banging the "don't drag our industry down" drum by slagging off anyone accepting terms that are lower than the level you approve of.....

They'll get what they pay for! If the conditions, inclusive pay, is sh@t - they'll get sh@t pilots.. Then the owners will get pissed off and go somewhere else.. everybody looses..
But how do you square that with buying your own type rating to get your arse in the RHS of a big biz jet? That is what you did, didn't you?

Double standards or sh@t pilot....which is it Klimax?

I'm not EU based and an EU base was part of the equation, so "my package" is really not relevant for the enquiry my dear doggy boy - so no biscuit for you, back into to your flee basket.
Nobody was asked to mentioned company names either. I'm simply trying to get and indication of whats cooking on the EU market.

Deefer Dog,

If you don't want to participate in this, you do know you're free to bugger of right? Further more, this is a professional pilots forum, but unfortunately not limiting FSX "pilots" from interfering. Have a beer mate, relax, chill out, download a new add-on.. Chill pill. ;-)
