One for the Danish speakers
This plate is attached to a former RDAF CF-104 wing. Can someone please translate "Matins"? Google says it means "matinees" but that doesn't sound appropriate.

But the rest of the plate is in English (RDAF for example is the abbreviation for the English 'Royal Danish Air Force', which the Danes just call it Flyvevabnet or 'the air force'), so I guess it's an abbreviation for something in English.
The mine of expertise that is PPRuNe will I'm sure give you more specific info
Any connection here ? Possibly the same F104 ? Seems quite a few went to ROCAF in Taiwan after service in Denmark. What is the provenance of your original image ?
The current Danish defense materiel organization is known as Forsvarsministeriets Materiel- og Inkøbsstyrelse. It would be pretty easy to get “Matins” out of the “materiel and purchasing” part of that. But apparently the name’s only been used since 2014.
Based on what is on the data plate, I can think of two options:
1. It's an acronym for the Danish organisation that keeps track of military equipment and the bit behind it is a tracking code for their system. It's probably the system code for '1 F-104 aeroplane'.
2. It means something like 'sub-assembly' so that 1F-104-5664 is part of a RDAF F/CF-104, perhaps this number is the code to denote 'wing'.
I suspect its no.1 as only the last two boxes are meant to be changed for the applicable part and serial number. That makes it more likely for 1F-104-5664 to relate to an entire aeroplane and not just to a single wing. Keep in mind that this is mostly guesswork on my side...

MATINS looks more likely to be a contraction of 'materiel inspection' and the "1F-104-5664" is the format you'd expect to see for a Technical Order (TO 1F-104-5664). Tech Orders don't just cover the aircraft manuals but also articles that we'd more commonly refer to as Mods, Service Bulletins etc.

Thanks for all the responses. It's looking like it might be an acronym of non-Danish origins. Incidentally, if you google "MATINS + Starfighter" you will get this thread!

The wing bearing the RDAF plate in question was originally fitted to R-343 but that aircraft crashed on 8 August 1980 so clearly the wing was removed prior to this date.
EDIT: If the wing came from RT-664 the RDAF plate should show 1F-104-4664 (not 1F-104-5664) as RT-664's full serial was 104664. I cannot find an RDAF serial ending in 5664.
jensdad makes the astute observation that the plate is in English so my choice of title for this thread turns out to be unhelpful.
