Hi,

Could someone tell me what the PS15 means in the following AIRMET for SE England?

WINDS:

1000FT: 350-020/10KT LOC 15KT S. PS15 BECMG PS19.
3000FT: 360-030/15KT LOC 20KT S. PS11 BECMG PS15.
6000FT: 320/25KT BECMG VRB/08KT. PS05 NE TO PS08 SW.

Also, where could I have found this out myself as I did try searching.
Thanks,
Vindaloo

Don't worry about not knowing where to look. I tried the Met site and also the Get Met booklet to no avail. In the end I rang the Met Office and the guy who answered had to go and ask himself!

All part of the learning curve - sadly I'm right at the bottom with only a few hours post Skills Test under my belt!
