Can anybody recommend a travel insurance policy that would cover undertaking flight training in Canada.

Most companies seem to exclude non-passenger aviation activities.

Try P.J. Hayman 01483 255750 and ask about their Travel Adventures Policy. They cover flying and all sorts of more "extreme sports".

Best thing to do is check out the back of some of the popular flying mags - there are usually a handful of companies advertising. I've used Traffords in the past, and found their sales team excellent, but fortunately I didn't have to make a claim so I can't say how good they are in that department.

I agree with FFF.

Traffords.

Used them for the past 7 years, hardly any extra weighting for flying, including annual travel insurance.

Insurance is now going sky high (pardon the pun), since SARS, Sept 11, Iraq, need for more profits, etc

Don't go near USA as it will put a large premium on a normal insurance now.

Enjoy your flying.
