Anyone know a cheap place to keep an aircraft hanagred in the South East (prefer in the White Waltham/Booker areas ... ie. Bucks/Berks/Oxon) ?
Thinking of purchasing a permit a/c but find this is the stumbling block on costs ...... their must be some farm strips around ?

You are quite right, there are lots of farm strips around in the area you are talking about.
The chances of being able to base an aircraft at one are slim though as the owners are normally extremely careful about how many a/c fly from their strip, noise abatement problems, number of take offs/landings, security etc. These are all problems that they have and they can cause the landowner a great level of concern.
I am fortunate enough to have a sensible and considerate guy based at my strip with me who doesn't spend all his flying time doing circuits and low passes etc (that's the one thing private strip owners hate!)
I'm not saying you WON'T find a suitable strip, but be prepared to put in a lot of groundwork to find one.
