Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of operating into this airfield in Norway?
I will be operating a winter charter into the airport in a BAe146 and would appreciate any first hand advice or comments on the problems associated with the airport especially concerning the Wx.
Many thanks..

I'm not a professional pilot and I have not operated into Dagali, but I hope that some observations from time spent on business/hols in the area may give you a little insight.
The area features high ground in the style of the Scottish Highlands - see this link, the webcam pic gives you a decent feel as well as giving you access to local Wx info http://www2.skiinfo.no/geilo/engelsk/.) (http://www2.skiinfo.no/geilo/engelsk/.)
From memory, the hills top out about 5-6K, but no doubt your Aerads or Jepps will confirm this.
The Wx tends to be cold overnight in Dec - Feb with -10-15C pretty common, rising to 0-5C during the day, obviously lots of ice.
They have a lot of snow due to the latitude, even at low altitudes e.g. compared to the Alps and therefore there can be a lot of cloud and it can be breezy too. I got caught in a whiteout (CB generated) at Xmas 1998 and had to stop the car for 20 mins or so, as viz was zero.
I hope that this (anecdotal) report helps to some extent. What I would say, is that if you like winter resorts, its well worth arranging some time if you can and visiting, I would recommend Dr Holms Hotel as beibg very comfortable.
