as of sunday evening an agreement was reached in the short term at least with the farmers who own nearly half of the main runway at kirk bride as a result the obstructions on the runway should be removed by monday afternoon . Details for operation in the future will have to be firmed up but what will be absolutly imperative is that ALL visiting aircraft to kirkbride MUST carry
sufficient 3rd party cover to indemnify the land owners and will be
required on occasion to provide proof of this. In these days of no win no fee lawyers I can understand why they dont want any unnecessary exposure. Anyway kirkbride is safe to use again.
