Thought this might make an interesting thread ,highlighting regional differences especially. Please state aircraft type and whether Vat and home landings are included.!!So to start us off Rollason Condor (or any other smallish typical light aircraft) at Rochester £176.25 per month including Vat and all landings. There is a waiting list for spaces!!.Outside parking is about £100 per month I think.

At Perth it is length x wingspan (in metres) x £1.74 per month excluding landing fees. It works out at £90pm for our D150.
Landing fees are £2.50 each for club members or £250 per year.

£50 pm outside parking at Barton for a C172. Not sure what the hangarage would be, prob about double that. But no hangar space at Barton. Full to the gunwales.

£111 per month inc. landing fees at Wellesbourne for grass parking. I guess hangarage rates are a function of supply vs. demand? About these 'ere parts is very little supply. :(

£25/month de-rigged hangerage at Chilbolton.

Was paying £31/month tie-down same place for something else, now moved to a hangar at Kemble where I get a discount but standard rate is £100-£140/month depending upon size.

Also occasionally store aircraft at Popham, £60/month tie-down.

Slipsider, it depends who you hangar with.
If its the Squadron, £80 membership covers runway rights.
The other hangar operators have a quota but some have certain rules such as no groups etc.
This is because they only have a certain number of movements and wont pay for any more.

Currently £150 / month all in for hangarage at a field 20 odd miles North of London. Lovely hangar (about 10-15 years old), not overly crowded and a 550m grass strip which doesn't get too waterlogged in the winter. Got 100LL and oil plus nearly-resident engineer.

Price may go up shortly as will be under new ownership soon .......

Left the group 6 months ago but we paid £250 ex Vat at Sywell and £11 per pilot per month for the landing card.

I thought not too bad for excellent hangar space with 3 grass runways, lovely resto and tons of atmosphere.

We bought the field! The twelve of us involved in the field at the time set up a limited company, each payed in a lump sum and we borrowed the rest.

We now charge ourselves £40pm per aircraft. This covers the mortgage, maintenance fund and derv for the tractor. We take turns in cutting the grass and in the general upkeep chores. Its the most beautiful strip in the UK too...

'farm' strip near Winchester. 2 runways @ approx 500 yds.
£ 100 pcm hangarage for any normal light single.

Kingy: Buying the field sounds like a great idea. Though about it myself a couple of times.
Anyone know what has happened to 'Lower Upham' near Southampton. Heard that was for sale. Any ideas Irv ??

All interesting stuff just proves how expensive the South East of England be interesting to see some figures for the extremeties of the Kingdom say Lands End,Inverness,Carlisle and Swansea.Sadly I think a lot of sport aviation will be driven out to the less populace parts of the country as pressure and prices escalate in the South east.

Landing £7.50 but have to pay in advance by lump sums to keep an account in credit

Piper Aztec 250E

Teesside - EGNV

Hangarage £300 per month

Landing Card £120 per month

Just grateful not based at Newcastle EGNT - where GA is being eradicated with a draconian increase in landing charges and "demolition by neglect" of hangarage.

White Waltham - Yak52 - £256 per month and about to go up.
Plus they sell the most expensive fuel anywhere at £1 per litre.
Plus they charge you membership at £270 per year on top of all that !
Rip off South East !

£3950 per year  that is £329.17 per month. Excuse me for a second, I need to put some £50 notes on the fire to keep warm

C172 at Biggin Hill. No extras just the hangar space :(

Barney

P.S. On the +ve side though it does mean that diverts are rare because EGKB has all the technical gadgets needed to get me back on the ground if wx proves difficult.

Why do you feel the need to spend ~£4k per year on hangaring a C172? If my simple memory serves me correctly, these are all-metal aircraft that are left outside in all weathers in the UK.

Perhaps you do have £50 notes to burn!

Perhaps you are right. It was an existing arrangement in the group I joined and it suits us, but as you say expensive. It does keep the a/c nice and warm and I don't spend ages de-icing in Winter.

The only thing that does concern me sometimes is moving other much larget twins back in order to move ours out and I am always worried about this. Don't want to cause damage to someone elses pride and joy!

A luxury true!

C172's at YMEN about $A3-400/month, plus GST. Landings and Avcharges on top, about $A12 per landing. Landings ("movement fee") are charged by the airport, but Avcharges (tower, Terminal Navigation Charge, En Route Charge, Miscellaneous Service Charge, etc) are made by AirServices Australia, a Government body who revel in making money!

Much the same at Archerfield (Brisbane) with about $A300/month hangarage, but a flat $A15 minimum charge per landing, for landings and ATC.

But Avgas is still only $A1 per litre ;)

O2 whatever did hapen to Lower Upham? I operated my L4 out of there for a while about 4 years ago. Lovely little strip once one got used to the pylons at the end ;)

Swansea charged visiting aircraft 12 / night but I'm sure the based aircraft got it cheaper, I hope they did anyway! Haverfordwest was under 100 / month a few years ago for a space in a new hanger. It's one of the few council run airfields around though.

Kirkbride on solway ,hangarage is £60p/m with 100 p/a for the runway, and if the rumour is correct there is supposed to be a new hangar going up this year, as small aircraft are encouraged here unlike those poor b*****s at newcastle (their airport pricing isnt set by the same people who do the ticket pricing for the local football club is it!!!.

ps just to make the hamsters on the wheels down south even poorly'er you could have bought two houses on the airfield (used to house the station commander and staff i think for 37k each with land last year
pip pip ian.
