Can anyone remind me of the organisation that is hoping to put 1,000,000 would be flyers into the air in time for the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brother's first powered flight?

Also, can anyone suggest where the info is about the celebrations next year at Kitty Hawk? I'd like to go and be part of it, b ut haven't been able to find the 'offical' website with the details.

cheers

This might do for a start:-

The next one indicates what the people at Kittyhawk are planning

http://www.outerbankspress.com/edge02_first-flight.html

One thing I plan to do next year is to land at (and take off from) First Flight Airfield, the strip at Kill Devil Hills, although I expect that it won't be possible to do this on 17th December 2003, as there will lots of events going on.

Wonder how long it will take before this thread gets highjacked by one of the
"some bloke in New Zealand/Canada/Uzbekhistan/Scun thorpe did it first" brigade?

I believe you are thinking of the EAA's YOung Eagles program(me), which is described here:

It is a very worthwhile project, and should help to "seed" the growth of GA in years to come.

hope that helps
