that very rare aviating machine - a ford mondeo ;) (albeit a quick one)

Look out for the solent aviation tent - i will be around there somewhere - (tent brought to site by above mentioned ford)

It was only me and a chap in a Pietenpol (open cockpit monoplane) made it to Popham. I didn't envy him his flight back as I spent an hour in the rain. Gave the old bird the best clean she's had in ages. :D Shame about the leading edge of the prop though :(

Fairly marginal flying, 3-5 miles viz and a 1,200 - 1,500 cloud base in rain that was mostly light drizzle.
Yes, I did discover how useless wet drum brakes are (tip, ride them as you taxi to dry them out) :(
Yes, I was following a line on a chart and looking out of the windows.
Yes, I did have my trusty (this time) GPS to confirm my previously established position.
Yes, I had my alternate airfields freqs dialled up as I approached them.
Yes, I was pleased to see home base in the windscreen :D
and finally
Yes, I did enjoy the first Guinness of the evening :D :D
