Hi guys,

I am a Canadian CPL with 1600TT including 1300 Multi-turbine, interested in working in HKG. I know all about the IFALPA thing at Cathay, so until that is gone, how about filling me in on Dragonair. Heard a bunch of Selkirk College grads are over there, I graduated in '00. Anyone who can give me a hand be much appreciated.

:D

At the present time KA appears to only consider applications with 3500 hours plus and relevant heavy/turboprop time !!!

Command fast at KA and need 5000 hours total so don't want a backlog of frustrated FOs !:p

Please do tell then. How fast have commands been of late? Do they only take Airbus rated guys?

On the bus at Dragonair commands now possible in less than a year if rated and have the time. On 747 first command upgrades now being done on previously non rated guys in 16 months. There is now only one choice of airline in HKG!

You need serious A320 time to get into KA now. This is due to the hundreds of Ansett Australia guys looking for work!
