FO ME3 £/$PM Take home ?

On paper(from there own website) EK looks the better pay per month!
What I am trying to ascertain without going into the detail of the pros and cons of working in the region etc is how much cash in hand (average) each month in £/$ will you get as an FO.....?
1. EK £/$?...
2. The other one £/$?...
3. QR £/$?...

Any conversion into GBP should be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being, given the relatively weak value of the GBP at present.

From a euro pov.

I can ( with ease ) put around 3000 euro aside to pay off that horrendous flight school loan. Currently after all my deductions (car/furniture/PS) I receive around 6-7k a month.

This month I did 105 hours ( YES! No sarcasm, actually happy ) so that results in: 8614 euro Net. ( with my wifes addition it'll be over 10k)

I have no kids, as above mentioned my wife works and I live a normal / poor lifestyle in order to pay off my loan asap.

It isn't simply the hours per month that needs to be considered. It is the number of days worked and the type of flying done. Folks lusting after a big shiny jet can't comprehend the 'lifestyle' resulting from the current EK schedules.

I disagree. Regardless of days worked 105 hours a month will shorten your life and cripple your family time or social life.

4 long trips or 12 night turns - one allows plenty of days off but I can assure you the fatigue hits you just as hard as all those short sectors.

I can only assume the happy with 105 hour guy is brand new, maybe less than 4 months in the company, and we'll see him asking about Ryanair basing options within a year.

To be clear, I wasn't saying the number of hours weren't a factor. They most certainly are. I was pointing out that too many hours, as we are experiencing now, combined with very limited recovery days, is worse than most considering this place can imagine.

For me it is unsustainable and staying is NOT an option.
