With the prospects for summer looking good I have decided to finally shell out for a pair, but can't find anywhere that stocks them in the UK. I'd like to try them on before buying, so internet stores are out - does anyone know anywhere that sells them?

Cheers

Try an outlet of the ubiquitous Sunglasses Hut chain, and then buy them online. Some good deals around, even if it means shipping them from the States.

I have a set of "Getties". Love them.

HOWEVER - the flight safety gurus recommend GREY lenses, not the yellow ones!!

Thanks folks. Sunglass Hut doesn't seem to do aviator frames, so I think I'll cross my fingers and go with online shop.

Been using Serengeti Drivers for years, found them the best so far, in fact I buy 3 pairs at a time online as I keep breaking or losing them!

More to this than meets the eye ( pun intended).

Your Avmed Examiner might put you straight on this.
I understand that aviation lenses must have a certain tranmission
level & be neutral grey so as not to affect depth perception.
The glasses that I know complied when I bought my pair (on advice from Avmed Examiner) were Bausch & Lomb G15 neutral grey.
