Hello everyone,

Yesterday I realize when selecting landing gear lever to down position my accumulator brake pressure needle is moving a little for 2 or 3 times.

Can some one explain why, some of my friend told me that is a brake check. And I search it on my from, but didn't found any clear answer yet.

Thx guys

This shows that you are flying a aircraft with "enhanced" brake system.
The BSCU does a selftest after NLG downlock and 6 second later a functional test order is send to the ABCU to test the alternate braking capability. This is a active test of the alternate brake selector valve and the alternate brake servovalves. This can be seen on the triple-indicator.

FCOM PRO-NOR-SOP-19 (after gear down)

says;

Note: Due to the accomplishment of the alternate braking functional test after the landing gear is downlocked, brief brake pressure indications may be observed on BRAKE PRESS.

Is it the function test mentioned above??:confused:
