View Full Version : Britannia "base" @ Dubin?

I notice this Summer (perhaps not for the first time) Britannia have a 767 based at DUB. It is a BHX-based a/c which flies out early Friday morning then operates flights from DUB all weekend, returning to BHX early Monday morning.

My question is, since BY clearly has no crew based at Dublin, how does the crewing work? Do a group of 2 or 3 crews fly out on the aircraft and then share the flights, staying in hotels or something? Or is each crew flown over and back on a scheduled airline on a daily basis? I assume BHX crews are used?

Would be interesting to know from any Britannia pilots how the arrangement works.

Thanks in advance.
