LCR-100 (http://www.northropgrumman.litef.com/en/products-services/aircraft/product-overview-civil-aviation/lcr-100/)

I'm referring to this unit, as fitted to the citation X+. What is a hybrid unit. Is it a limited capability IRS that relies on constant updates from a GPS? The flyer says it can coast for some time if satellite reception is lost, but needs a GPS input to regain accuracy.

How can this gain an RNP rating of <0.3. I thought you needed a full time stand alone capable IRS for 0.3

The same unit is an option for the Cessna Sovereign that qualifies that airframe for RNP AR 0.10.

I don't know anything about the technology but with loss of GPS apparently its loss of accuracy is slower than what is required for an RNP AR missed approach.

I presume the FAA bought into this as equivalent to an IRS that loses GNSS updating.
