WANTED: Aircraft Share within 1.5hrs Edinburgh.

If anyone has any info, or suggestions of where to go look on a club notice board, then I'd really appreciate a PM. Anything fixed wing considered, LAA, CoA, motor glider, non equity even.

(I ask as I'm trying to narrow my search before driving to every airfield I can find)

I gained a PPL down south and having moved up to Scotland, have yet to get any flying in, very keen to get involved. Please PM me if you'd like further details of myself too.

Hi Sound Man,

I guess it depends what sort of flying you'd like to get involved in... You're likely to find shares at a number of places including the likes of Strathaven (mix of microlight and laa types), Perth and Prestwick (LAA or CoA types).

What types have you flown before? Are you looking for tailwheel or tricycle, touring and/or aeros? How many seats?

I'll consider anything, however, more than 2 seats a luxury, aero: not just yet, haven't done a tail wheel conversion, keen to explore Scotland.

Hi sound man I may be just what your needing my friend..

I am doing my microlight training at strathaven and plan on doing a conversion to full ppl in the coming months, I will be buying something on a permit which i will be keeping at strathaven and maybe we can help each other.

As you have a PPL you will be able to fly and perhaps with me beside you:ok: getting me some experience whilst helping you out to.

I am looking at a few a/c and I've put an offer in for one and if i get it it will be at strathaven very soon, I may be able to offer you a share perhaps if you are interested, either non equity or whatever you fancy.

I am also looking at a tail dragger/vintage type which may not suit you, its a vagabond and it may well end up being what i go for, its vintage simple and a hand prop a/c.

Pm me for my number if your interested

Kenny :ok:

Sound Man,

To be frank, there are not that many airfields to drive round!

If I were you, I would call in to all four or five and see what they were like and what is based there.

There's certainly always a kettle on here at Strathaven.

Hi SM,
Over 70 Scottish Aero Club aircraft based at Perth with several shares available.

3 runways (most of the time) and an active social scene.

You will be spoilt for choice.
