I tore a tendon in my shoulder in may which was successfully repaired by surgery, quite a common procedure. I was in a surgical sling for 6 weeks before rehab started full on.
I have regained full movement and strength in all areas below the horizon but as I raise my arm above my head I do have a bit of a stiff shoulder which the physios are working on. The surgeon says this effects a few people and will resolve itself.
I have been off work for 3 months and expect to do my medical with my AME at the end of sep.
Has anyone any experience as to how much flexibility they require to resume full ATPL duties??
The CAA medical advice is a bit vague. The surgeon was surprised I was not back at work but admitted he has never dealt with the CAA.
Cheers :ugh:
