Hi all,

anyone going to the fly in next sunday?

Also the canadian lancaster bomber will be there after finally making its journey from Canada funnily enough?

When was the last time 2 Lancs did a fly in(or flyby more accurately?? I seem to remember the Canadian Lancaster being very prominent for some reason, anyone able to shed some light on this?

regards

Tris

I went yesterday. Planned for a 73nm trip and my GPS has recorded 119 nms. The extra being down to orbiting in the queue!..

63 aircraft flew in so it was a little fraught. Thank you to all for your patience.
Our apologies for the long holds.

The total chaos on the far side where the event was being held actually made our efforts look almost professional!!!!!
Heaven knows how many people turned up by car it ran into several thousand with queues for miles.

Apparently the North Thoresby 40's weekend further north was also inundated, with the A16 having cars all along the sides of the road to watch the Lancs overfly.

With hindsight we should have canned the fly-in and hired some burger vans, we would have made a fortune!!!!!!!!!
