Damn, shocked to hear. Mike was a great character, ran a good operation, supported and mentored a lot of pilots.

So many words. Smart, witty, generous, clever, quick. Such a great man. RIP sir. Hugs to Sarah.

Never knew much about his aviation ventures but I remember him from Capital Radio and BBC R1 days. His style and humour on Radio 1 brightened many a dark North Sea morning on the ADF.

Spoke his mind, didn't he?! But a nice enough bloke, I thought. Ex-BBC radio man myself so was slightly thrilled to work alongside him at Denham.
