Fly-In-Spain. Good or no good PPL-A study?

I have been looking for a school outside Norway where I can do PPL-A intensive in 4 weeks. And I come across Fly-in-Spain (FIS). Is this a good school?
Anyone been here lately??

I was there this year. The instructors are good but it is more expensive than training in England (quite a few hidden costs that are not apparent when making the deal) and the owner Hans is not a great guy. He tends to behave as though he is doing you a favour in allowing you to spend his money with them. I switched after 10 hours to EFG at Biggin hill. Originally I was just going to do some hours with EFG until I returned to Spain but Hans wasn't happy with this and insisted that ether do everything in Spain or everything in the UK. He also took my balance of account as a "cancellation fee". If you can handle him then the instructors are great

As mentioned above - the Spanish and other overseas offerings have potential pitfalls and hidden costs which may not make it as great a deal as it appears at first glance.

Not sure where you are in Norway but I flew a couple of hours with Sandefjord Flyklubb last week for less than I would pay here in the UK (very surprising to me:ooh:) - worth contacting them and see if they can do an equivalent 4 weeks intensive (or similar)? PM if you want details.

If you were spending his money rather than your own, then he really would be doing you a favour. ;)

Seconded re Hans. He's the reason I never went back there after an otherwise great experience. Ask about the landing charges if you intend to fly there. That wasn't included in the rates and it soon mounts up.
