Hi all, any recommendations for an airfield in Ireland on the East side ideally with a nice place to eat nearby? Thanks

You will be very welcome up in the North and Newtownards, EGAD.

Weston has a reasonable café onsite.

Beyond that you've have a bit of travelling to get to a restaurant from any of the other GA airports on the east coast.

EINC has a pub a little walk up the road that does decent grub

EITM Trim, short taxi ride to the town for lunch. Friendly place, normally quiet.

Two suggestions,

EIAB and go to Glasson Village. I live there and its an epicurean hot spot with places like The Wineport Lodge, The Fatted Calf, The Village, Grogans and a few more places.

EIHH and go to Tankardstown House, it's supposed to be great. Wanted to go for a long time now.

EIRT is further west, but Longueville House is very good.

Just looking at Skydemon, lots of the strips there are closed for various reasons. The local information is always more up to date. I did a flight guide a few years back but now need to revisit it, and get the data more up to date. Labour of Love.
