Gipsy Queen

The Sauvignon Blanc was nearing the bottom of my glass in the balm of yesterday evening when a familiar but not recently heard noise approached from the South. A moment of uncertainty and then, "Round engines!" Overhead passed a Beech 18 of the type I used to fly from Florida to the Bahamas a very long time ago.
It came from the Dunkeswell direction as it headed over Tiverton at about 19.00 hours.
Does anyone know anything about this machine which must be rare in Europe and is not as common in the States as it once was. Great for perfectly executed ground loops, as I remember.:O
