. I am very close to finished my Aussie CPL. No MCIR or ATPL yet.
I hold a dual citizenship for Malta and Aus, and i'm curious as to how much of my training will count towards JAA (?) qualifications.
I'm assuming i will have to sit conversion exams for everything, but what about the flying.? And what would make me employable, in Malta especially?
I hope someone can help me out, as i dont know anyone with first-hand knowledge on the subject.....
Cheers , and happy flying.:)

G'day,
I have written about this at length in Dunnunda and Godzone. Aus to JAR lic (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22893). Since you don't have an ATPL, in summary you'll have to do the 14 exams AND you won't get exemptions on the time. You'll either have to do it full time (6 months) or Distance Learning. Also, you'll have to do a full IR. ie 50 hours (you get 5 hours credit if you have flown twins before).

All in all, approx $A50,000 if you do it in the UK.
