hi
I have a professional canadian seaplane licence that I am trying to put on my JAR/CAA commercial. I have been told I need to write the UK seamanship exam. However the details are very vague even from the CAA.
Anyone know where I can get the syllabus, or know anyone who does a brief course on the subject or has anyone done it?

:D

Can't answer your question, but can you answer mine?

Why do Canadian's say 'write' an exam? In the UK, we take an exam.

Yep. The examiners "write" the exam. But I "sit" an exam.

Enough of this.

Send Clowns, who tends to hang around Jet Blast and Wannabes quite a bit, might well know the answer to your question, pilotbear, since he used to work for a training organisation - and probably does again.

Yeah, I sit exams too.

Although in past jobs I've also had to write them...
