At the Yandina market today I acquired a set of blueprints and correspondence relating to the building of a Jodel D II - club aircraft that was apparently a home build project by One Mr. Patterson around 1968 of Elm St. Albury, NSW.

The blueprints and correspondence Are of historical interest only. But I wonder if any PPruners know anything about this matter?

The blueprints are all stamped "approved by DCA", the paperwork refers to the hire of a C150 for instruction at the princely sum of $13.00 per hour! Perfectus airscrew supplied the glue. I have yet to read all the correspondence.

Sunny,
there are four Jodel's on the AU register, have a look on the CASA site, could be worth contacting one of these for more info,

Former VH-DII is at Tyabb and now on the RA-Aus register. The builder doesn't own that one any more.

There's one that lives at Wynyard. Can't remember the rego but a rather tidy looking little beast that always attracts my attention whenever I see it.

And how does one of these get on the RAA register? I wonder if it has been swept up in the "clean up" like the dodgy C150/152 scam?

The photo you have put up is a Jodel DR 1050 which has an empty weight of 440 kg and would not be sensibly accepted under RASus certificate.

The Jodel D 11, however, has an empty weight of 340 kilos. Max gross 620 kg with 0-200.

Guess you just don't fill the tanks all the way up?

I don't remember the rego, but there was one hiding at Aldinga around 2010.
