Would like to become an instructor, to gain aviation experience/knowledge, before progressing my career in aviation. Do I need to do my ATPL Ground school/exams to become an instructor?

I have a PPL, I understand I need a CPL IR with Instructor rating. Is this correct?

Many thanks

In order to instruct you need to have passed CPL groundschool and have 200 hours before completing an instructor course.

You do not need ATPL knowledge, a CPL or an IR however, if you only have a PPL you cannot be remunerated.

The CPL groundschool is not as readily available as the ATPL groundschool because the demand is less however, courses are now available.
