Hello,
Does anyone know what the exact requirements are to do the touch and goes for a type rating on a sim instead of on a real airplane for european licence holders?I'm only conected to the net with a samsung old phone so it's dificult for me to do a good search on the web.
With the new european rules it looks like you can't do the touch and goes with your company's airplane and they must be done with the ATO that gave you the sim. Of course, some ATO's (old TRTO's) don't have the real plane.
Thank you and regards...

They can be done on your compnays aircraft but the TRe needs to be put through the "books" of the ATO.

6 bumps fro a new type

4 for a similar type that you have flown before.

Thank you very much for your answer mad-jock. I have a A320 type rating but no flight time on the plane, only the base training touch and goes. Could I still do the the touch and goes for a citation type rating on a sim, even if I do not have turboprop or jet flight time?

Nope citation is a different beast to A320 and in general you have to be in an airline TRTO to get zero hour type ratings.

I suspect you will have to do the 6 bumps.

You mean 6 bumps in a real airplane, don't you?
Thanks!

My understanding was that knowledge of flight crew licensing (or at least where to find such regulation) is mandatory for commercial pilots - obviously I was mistaken...

Anyhow, this should clear things up:

FCL.730.A Specific requirements for pilots undertaking a zero flight time type rating (ZFTT) course — aeroplanes
(a) A pilot undertaking instruction at a ZFTT course shall have completed, on a multi-pilot turbo-jet aeroplane certificated to the standards of CS-25 or equivalent airworthiness code or on a multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane having a maximum certificated take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or a certificated passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers, at least:
(1) if an FFS qualified to level CG, C or interim C is used during the course, 1 500 hours flight time or 250 route sectors;
(2) if an FFS qualified to level DG or D is used during the course, 500 hours flight time or 100 route sectors.
(b) When a pilot is changing from a turbo-prop to a turbo-jet aeroplane or from a turbo-jet to a turbo-prop aeroplane, additional simulator training shall be required.

Short answer though: NO, you can't.

Well there are TP guys doing ZFT Type ratings on 747's and getting them through Gatwick and a few other authorities. And quite a few of them are off 7 ton 19seaters.

Has FCL.730 disappeared from EASA FCL?!?
Couldn't find it in here: Part-FCL | EASA (http://easa.europa.eu/acceptable-means-compliance-and-guidance-materials-group/part-fcl)

You are looking at the AMCs & GM. Part-FCL, including FCL.730, is here (http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ%3AL%3A2011%3A311%3A0001%3A0193%3AEN%3AP DF)
