Daily Checks

G'day,
In JAR OPS land is it true that a daily or a weekly check must be valid for the duration of a flight or does it just need to be valid for pushback?

Either way where is it written?

JAR-OPS land is a distance memory. Now EU-OPS shortly to move to EASA.
