Does anyone know of a source of replacement clocks for PA28 (specifically and Archer II) or someone who repairs them?

Why do you want a working clock in a PA-28 ... trying to make it unique ?

Lakeland Plastics timer and velcro last I heard ... personally I use my watch.

You will have to use certified Velcro – identical to the stuff everybody in the uncertified world uses, but 10X the price.

I hope this might be of more help than the advice from those who are knee deep in the wires that keep the GPS & plug in intercoms running.

Wouldn't you be better off with a calender instead?

As the OP is in Barbados, perhaps Aircraft Spruce or another American based supplier would be better than an EU one.

I agree sourcing from the USA would be better for someone based in Barbados....but it is still the only post that addresses the subject of a clock that may be fitted to an aircraft that her than one that is stuck on with Velcro.

Exactly A & C. And for that price, it's probably only 70 dollars more expensive to obtain than an 'egg timer' from Sporty's etc. After all, most PPL's I know think nothing of splashing out thousands on a Breitling ELT timepiece or the like...

As they say, mark 1 eyeballs and a clock. There's no substitute!

https://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/product/9226 Expensive and not as good as a basic installed clock. I've known these to go missing from rental aircraft.

Edit:

Or there is this one.

The Mitchell ones looks like it's the best bet - I have a Sporty's a-la velcro one - just would like the dead one to work - very useful for the switching of the fuel tanks on long trips (12-6 right tank - 6-12 left tank - - minute hand points at the tank the fuel is coming from!).

Ebbie,

You might try here http://www.preferredairparts.com/search.htm

Search for "clock". Lots of them but you need a part number to identify which one. No images.
