You do need to have an ICAO level 4 at least in English.

Being from Whitby this may be your biggest issue.

Surely emigrating from Middlesbrough to Whitby is a sign of sound mind?

Actually though, I've been to Whitby museum and it was devoted entirely to things in light bulbs.

Both sound and un-sound. everyones backward and the place is fine if you can sit on your arse all day and like to drink.

Billingham is good if you like living on a chemical plant.

Whats the house prices like? And is there a kebab shop? :ok:

Kebab shop? That's like asking if Krug do a nice bottle of orange pop. In Whitby, one partakes of the finest fish & chips in the world!

Yeah theres a few kebab shops, some are crap, some are good.

I paid a lot for my house, but its still a bargain really considering what im getting and the decor inside.

Buying my parents terraced Victorian place and thats 160k

I have actually had a fish supper in Whitby. And it was OK.

Best chippie I have had and its a pretty broad experence range is without a doudt from the fish and chip shop on the harbour front in Peterhead.

Potatoes come from locally which is where most of the seed potatoes for europe get grown. And the fish is taken from her husbands trawler. Which parks 200 meters away from the shop front.

Aberdeen used to be good in my youth but then the fish market shut and they stopped landing daily and most went onto frozen fish.

There are the tourist chippies in Whitby and the ones the locals prefer.
Down past the Middle Earth pub, opposite the boat yard. Silver Street.
Best in town.

The Magpie. Famous but overrated and overpriced Tourist Trap.

What's this thread about? Is the first post missing?

I thought everyone born in Whitby had a speech impediment caused by over enlarged canine teeth and a liquid diet.

Split off from the Disabled pilots thread, where it had wandered too far from the point.

Yes, last time I was there I nearly got savaged by a large Husky dog & ended up having to eat a curry at 21.00 as all the other restaurants had closed. Interesting subject that I was filming though:)

Don't i seem to be the subject of such ridicule and amusement!

(Wouldn't be the first time) :)

Whitby's alright, could be a bit better but then again, there's a weatherspoons opening on 28th March in the building of the old angel hotel. They bought the place October last year i think and began work. Will certainly shake up some of the piss taking pubs over the price of a simple pint.
