This year on the 19th April the most iconic seaplane company in Australia turns the big 40 :ok: and we would like all past employees and associates of Air Whitsunday to join in the celebrations.

A weekend of activities is being coordinated to mark the milestone, commencing on Friday the 19th of April with a BBQ lunch at Happy Bay on Long Island where it all began. A cocktail party will be held on the Friday evening in the Air Whitsunday Terminal. Saturday the 20th will feature a social catch up and memorabilia display at the terminal during the day followed by a formal dinner in the evening.

For for further information or to register your interest, please email Trish Parker at [email protected]. We would appreciate any assistance in spreading the word to former employees and associates.

This operation I was told has had many names and owners over the years.

Took my brand new bride for a joy-flight from Happy Bay resort around about 27/11/73 in a Lake Buccaneer with Kevin at the controls......but the most spectacular memory of that day was his attractive assistant in her "tan -through " bikini!!!

Mind you it was a wonder I wasn't too blurry eyed to notice!
