In these recessionary times I was wondering whether the hangarage charges have stood still or gone up.

In NI it seems that £1k pa seems average. At Causeway (675m all year useable) we are aiming to get the cost down to £600pa if we can get enough aircraft. (non profit CASC)
Last year was £660 to £1200pa per ac.

I was shocked to hear that charges of €180 (limetree)to €380(Newcastle) per Month are charged at grass strips in Eire.

What charges are reasonable for a fully enclosed concrete floor hangar?

I recently sought comparisons on the other popular forum and had many replies. You might like to look there to see the responses.

I pay £1100 a year for a concrete floored hangar with power and lighting. (Grass strip with runway lighting). I'm well north of The Wash though.
Fuel and maintenance on site. No landing fees.

Well, I paid about 250k for a 100ft by 100ft concrete floored hangar with toilet & shower (the septic tank cost 15k!)

Work out how many aircraft you can fit in that to give an income of about £25k a year (gross) and then deduct hangar keeper's insurance, electricty, water bills, maintenance (even just gutter cleaning!) and something for depreciation!

In my case, I am over 50 and the hangar is meant to have a 40 year life - so I am not too worried about depreciation!
