Flew into Cambridge this morning, the GA charm offensive is going apace. I've joined their 'club' for cheaper landing fees; I got a very warm reception including free coffee. If you either want to go to Cambridge (obviously!) or want to do instrument training it's a really nice place. It may be a bit pricey but I think we should support their efforts and try to keep the place open for GA.

The 45kt headwind on the way home was a bit interesting though.

And I went the wrong way round the hold - was half way round when I realised I'd turned left instead of right. Luckily they weren't working radar at the time :-)

And a new hand on the tiller too. It's good to hear a good news story these days.

However, at first glance I read the OP as Cambridge GA charm, offensive:eek:

I wondered if you'd read it like that! Will attempt an edit.

Luke at Cambridge is a very nice chap. He says there is new Management in place and Luke is trying to encourage GA to visit with significant price reductions if you sign up for their free flying community. Home | Cambridge Airport Flying Community (http://www.flyingcambridge.com)

Its worth us all giving it a try and if something isn't 100% right then a quick chat or email to Luke will likely sort things out.
