Where to get a TMG rating on my JAR-PPL in UK

HI everybody,
I would like to add a TMG rating on my PPL but I cannot find a place in UK (flight school, FTO, aeroclub) where this is possible.

Does anyone have any clue?
I am looking for places between London and Bristol.

This guy (http://www.pilotflighttraining.com/index.html) also does TMG training at Hinton, although that website is under construction (http://www.motorgliderclub.co.uk/).

Other than that, look for the TMG rated people in the list at the bottom of this page (http://www.gliding.co.uk/bgainfo/instructors/motorgliding.htm). Most of them are attached to gliding clubs which means you will have access to a TMG but might have to pay some sort of membership fee.

There's an examiner at Shoreham, can't remember his name but he shares an office with this chap (http://www.andytobias.co.uk/); I don't know if he has access to a TMG

Highly recommend Clive Stainer at Hinton. He's a completely separate organisation to Pilot Flight Training as linked above. Can PM you a number if required.

Edit: there appears to be a Pilot Flight Training at Oxford & a Hinton Pilot Flight Training, two separate organisations.

PFT is the bigger flying school at Hinton. Clive runs the Motorglider Club.

Oxfordshire sportflying at enstone do it, they have a very nice super Dimona, good bunch too!

Another vote for OSF (http://www.enstoneaerodrome.co.uk/aboutus.htm) at Enstone.

Very friendly club and good bunch of instructors, and a T61 for the budget conscious.

AFAIK Oxfordshire Sport Flying don't do TMG ratings, only NPPL SLMG licences.

Who did you decide to go with in the end, I'm thinking of going down this route myself, so I'm quite curious?

Actually I'm planning to do the rating next summer but haven't decided where to go yet.

Not decided because you've found loads of venues that do it and can't decide which one to go with or (and I'm guessing this is more likely)....struggling to find somewhere that does the course?

Actually it doesn't have to do with the venue but with the fact that I live in Italy and first I have to organize the trip to the UK and then the venue will also depend on where I fly into the UK from Italy. It might even be next year if I cannot manage to sort it out this year...

Just in case anyone is interested, I spoke to Oxfordshire Sportflying (based at Enston) and they can do a PPL (TMG)!
