Jumbo fit for a prince: The £240million private jet with a Turkish bath, boardroom and concert hall | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2251071/Jumbo-fit-prince-The-240million-private-jet-Turkish-bath-boardroom-concert-hall.html)

I have looked everywhere in this diorama and I cannot find the bar! What's the point?

The first spiral staircase on a jet oh my!

What interests me the most is that they've seemingly made some major structural changes e.g. the lift, and doors to get a rolls royce in and out. Or perhaps the cargo doors were big enough already?

Old story...he sold it to the Saudi Minister of Finance apparently. It was going to take a looooong time to be delivered. None of the aircraft interior finishing companies would take on the job of building the interior.

Just out of interest if he did a ppl what would he have to do to fly it , ignore insurance as he could buy the insurance company anyway

I would suspect PPL, night rating, Instrument rating, Multi rating, A380 type rating and no doubt Multi crew cockpit. At a guess

He's paying £240m and it will have more toys than you can shake a stick at, but he'll never be able to land it at Netherthorpe :E.

And I'll bet being in that relaxation room won't compare with the experience of flying solo for the first time, however humble your aircraft may be.

There are some things that money just can't buy :).

The first spiral staircase on a jet oh my!

abgd,

I'm obviously showing my age here, but all 747-100s had spiral staircases.

My son, at age 4, had only ever flown on 747s until one day we got on a 737 at Changi:

"Dad, where's the spiral staircase?" ;)

I've never flown on a 747 (will I ever, I wonder?) but was aware of old the 747 spiral staircases. I was objecting to the Daily Mail journalistic hyperbole in claiming that they were the first ever...

I've never flown on a 747 (will I ever, I wonder?)

Judging by the 747-800 order book, I would say it's highly likely. ;)
