Hi
I recently flew to Copenhagen in our SR20. Having completed my UK fuel drawback claim, I cannot find any information on how I can do the same for the fuel purchased in Denmark. Anyone know if I can claim it back, and how?

In fact, the same question goes for Holland as I bought fuel there en-route!

thanks

Depends......if you were flying on business, the company can claim back the duty.

It is my understanding that the UK is unique in allowing you to claim drawback o shipped hydrocarbon stores.

I think that Bose-x has the situation summed up, I think that the only other places in the EU were fuel duty drawback is available are The Republic or Ireland and Malta.

No doubt if I am wrong in thinking this someone on the forum will correct me.

For Holland I can tell you this:

Only commercial operations have the option of reimbursement (actually not having to pay) excise duty and VAT for their fuel. Private/recreational operations just have to pay the full amount, even if flying to a destination outside Holland.
