I'm about to order some prescription sunglasses and was wondering what the best tint is for flying?

polarized lenses are good for reducing glare, as for tint, i was advised amber/brown as it maintains good colour perception. Avoid green.

G15 As used by Rayban and others. By the way this is green/grey. Aviators should NEVER use polarised lenses because of aboration etc. Check with aviation medicine at your "Authority"

Zeiss Dark Umbral - if you can get them in prescription lenses. Superb!

This comes up a few times on these boards, most recently on this forum, under Sunglasses!! (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10763&highlight=sunglasses), where you will find all the information you may need (especially my post on the second page! ;) )
